Head of Berlin
As city head of ISG in Berlin, Steffen Kühn made a decisive contribution to the success of the branch with his comprehensive expertise from project development through redevelopment to construction.
Before moving into the real estate industry, he was managing director of a German general planner for more than 10 years. From 2012 to 2016, Kühn was a member of the management board of the asset and investment manager Acrest Property Group GmbH (today Jones Lang LaSalle Retail Assetmanagement GmbH). He is a member of the "Verband der Bau- und Immobilienmediatoren e.V." and the Berlin Chamber of Architects. He is also an auditor for office and retail buildings in the "Deutsche Gesellschaft für Nachhaltiges Bauen e.V.".
Since 2016, Kühn has headed the Berlin branch and realised projects for multinational IT companies in the DACH region. The handling of real estate projects by means of cooperative procedures and the implementation of Anglo-Saxon procurement procedures in Germany are essential components of his activities. In addition, Kühn regularly gives lectures on various topics, including project management and workplace performance. Thanks to his many years of expertise, he has made a decisive contribution to increasing the number of employees many times within just three years. His goal is to even double the Berlin team and turnover in the future.
One of his greatest challenges during his time at ISG was to build up the team and make ISG known in the overheated Berlin market. His pragmatic and solution-oriented management skills enabled him to successfully master this task. Kühn is always able to structure, execute and solve any task or problem. Thanks to his modest yet clear and motivating personality, he has succeeded in building up a strong team spirit within a very short time. He always tries to raise the bar a little and to offer a positive incentive to his team.
Kühn also devoted his private life to his passion for architecture and the conversion of his holiday home in France. In addition, he enjoys spending his free time with his three children and with sports, like skiing (a mix of skating and biking), as well as going to the opera.
